Heard recently after Leafs Habs Game

Gary says its A-OK!
"....I am ashamed of the performance of the Habs last night.

Leafs played a heck of a game, and the Habs looked like a pee wee team.

But, biting, really?  its dangerous and didn't have its place anywhere, especially not in a pro hockey league, what was Grabovsky was thinking.

On a video review of a goal, the puck has to conclusively cross the line. We can't assume it crossed and it can't be half-way.

On a "did he bite him" review, we have to visibly see him biting the guy. If it's covered by an arm then that's the same as the puck being covered by a goalie's butt. Therefore, no goal, I mean bite.

What if there are bite marks? What if there's DNA evidence? Get CSI on the case!

Puffer Updates

Our time keeper for the 10:00 game is not available  for the games on Dec. 19th and Jan. 2nd. Does anyone know of someone who could take over the timekeeping duties for those games? It pays $15.00 per game. Let Mel know.

--------
On Dec.12/12, we are going to be passing the hat in each dressing room, collecting for Harold McMann. He isn't working and won't be till just before Christmas at the earliest but the bills keep coming in. Any amount will be appreciated as a testament to the spirit of Puffer Hockey.

Puffer Game 1 starts Wed September 26

The Owen Sound Puffer Hockey League

The league was established in 1982 to promote Old Timer Recreational Hockey, so players new and used, could once again have "fun in the spirit of competition".

If you believe rules are made to be broken then this is NOT the league for you!

We utilize referees to help make the game official - they are not there to break up fights or control tempers.

We expect player's conduct and attitude to be self-policing.

A good player's intentions must be evident by his actions both on and off the ice.

Have Fun! Enjoy the Game!

Enjoy the people who make up your team and the League!
